Mommy and Liam go it alone!

Hello friends!

Kevin is in D.C. with a group of Camp Sunshine teens and other adult chaperons to see the capital, F.B.I. headquarters, the tomb of the unknown soldier, the Army band...he returns this Sunday night...
So, Liam and I are going to have the weekend to spend together - he will be my date to the Mother's Day service at church this Sunday :)

To celebrate the special occasion EARLY we went to Amicalola Falls last Sunday afternoon and walked to the falls and ate a picnic lunch with my folks...Liam was up all day, but you will see in the pictures below that he was still fully alert and happy. Well, until he crashed in the car driving back...

This past Monday his 7th tooth started breaking in on the bottom!!! So, needless to say - he's handling more and more solid type foods...cheerios, banana chunks, small pieces of bread, veges etc. we're having fun experimenting with chunkier purees too! Last weekend I mixed up baked potatoes, baked carrots, grilled chicken, broth and spices and I loved the puree so much that Kevin thought I was nuts for tasting Liam's purees! YUMMY - I wondered to myself if the digestive track takes a break if you eat purees instead of solids as an adult - I know liquid diets are good - so why not puree diets :)

Here's just a few things I hope to accomplish this weekend...shew....we'll see if I can do it!!!
love, hug and kiss my son...balance checkbook....thoroughly clean the house...help Markham's pack up to move...cut the grass...plant my other sunflowers...maybe plant my calla lily that Kevin got me for Mother's Day...finish our Will and Testament...call gutter lady to set appointment to re-do our gutters...lay pine straw in backyard...ahhhh to get my mind off all that...

Enjoy some pics from Amicalola Falls!!!!

A week of family illness ... then Easter hopped up!!!

Hello everyone - starting last weekend Daddy and Liam were both fighting a head cold/throat/sinus thing. Daddy is still battling it, but Liam is on the road to recovery. The Skelly house was an orchestra of coughing, sneezing, blowing noses, and temperatures...Liam's got up to 102.6...

We are all doing well now - Daddy and I got some yard work done on Saturday and Liam got some much needed rest. Last night we restored (painted) some birdhouses in our yard while Liam slept in the stroller outside (next to us). It was a very blessed Easter Sunday, which began with sunrise service and then Nicky's Diner (a family owned and operated Greek style diner). After a hearty breakfast we retired to the homestead for a good nap and then Nana and Grandpa came over for Swiss Family Robinson and vitamin D time outside.

I am so thankful for my sweet hubby, my a-do-rable son, my loving family and friends and my awesome risen Savior and Lord. We are so blessed to know each of you and have you close!!!

All our love to you and yours!!!

Kelly
